*The E-collars we use do NOT electrocute your dog, nor do they deliver an electric shock. They are fully waterproof. They utilize low-level neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES) which is the same technology used in TENS units, physical therapy muscle stimulators and medical devices used on humans. They do NOT burn, zap, shock or harm tissue. We incorporate
e-collars into our training as needed and do so in a responsible, informed, safe and humane manner. We are happy to discuss any concerns with you.

About Your Trainer:

The Furrytale Formula Educational & Training Program was created by Aishah Hammock, Founder and CEO of
The Haus of Dogs, after years of seeing preventable surrender requests — often ten to twenty per day from overwhelmed pet parents. Many of these situations could have been avoided with proper guidance, realistic expectations, and an understanding of canine behavior. Even those who had already hired trainers frequently reported inconsistent or short-lived results, revealing a significant gap in resources available to pet parents.

To address this need, Aishah designed The Furrytale Formula to provide practical education, personalized training, and meaningful post-adoption (or post-purchase) support. She started working in the animal rescue industry in 2019 and has evaluated, fostered, and adopted out approximately 500 dogs to date, many of whom she trained and rehabilitated. Her work gives her extensive real-world experience with a wide range of temperaments and behavioral challenges. Her training approach is grounded in compassion, fairness, and behavioral science, blending classical and operant conditioning to create thoughtful, humane and individualized plans. She remains gentle in her methods while maintaining clear expectations and consistent accountability for every canine student.

Beyond training and rescue, Aishah quietly supports domestic violence survivors (males included) and deploying service members who need safe temporary placement for their pets, as no one should have to choose between personal safety, duty, and the well-being of their animals. If you would like to be a safe space for dogs in such situations, please reach out.
When not working, she enjoys road trips in her Wrangler with her boys Castle, Bailey, and Axl. Her absolute favorite travel memory is dogsledding beneath the Aurora Borealis in Fairbanks, AK. She misses Dublin and Haus terribly, and hopes they are running free and enjoying endless pupcakes in Doggy Heaven.
